An informal CV

I have a Degree in Graphic Design (kandidat) from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, with a minor in Visual Arts. I moved to Dubai with the goal of having a 6-month experience, found a job in the Publishing Sector, and ended up staying there 4 years.

It was while working as a Graphic Designer my interest was always related to the collaboration and communication with other disciplines while being in the design process. As well as understanding the whole lifecycle of the products we were delivering. Fx. Where do the ideas driving the design come from? How would the readers receive it? What would be the end of the magazine cycle? I was always driven by having a holistic view of the challenges in front of me.

After my time there, I moved to Barcelona and studied a Master in Design Management at IED (Instituto Europeo De Diseño), which hit the sweet spot I was looking for: shifting the focus from the design of the product itself to the design of an experience that is based on delivering value to end users, ergo, value to the businesses.

Having been in Denmark for several years now, my carrier has developed mainly within consultancy and innovation through digital technologies. My approach to driving design processes is collaborative, and with focus on defining the business needs and opportunities, as well as unveiling user insights in order to evolve the process towards finding the right solution to the specific challenge, whether that is within software development or business innovation.

I believe that the products and services we create will deliver successful experiences if they are based on a comprehensive understanding of the users and their context. I try to bring that premise into every project I am involved in.
